Maternity Services & Charges

Prenatal Care

Antenatal care is very important to the health and well-being of both the mother and child.

Tests conducted at this point detect any problems with the fetus and correct them in time. This is also the time the mother learns of her baby’s gender.

Starting these visits early in the first trimester is highly recommended. This is because the doctors are able to advise on the appropriate lifestyle that will sustain the baby’s growth. This can range from exercises, physical activities, and nutrition.

Kenol Hospital advises mothers who intend to deliver at their facility to make several, if not all, antenatal clinics at their facility.

This will enable them to acquire your records and medical history so that they are fully prepared and equipped to deliver your baby safely.

The first antenatal care clinic at the facility is Ksh 1,650, and follow-up visits are Ksh 100 per visit.

During Delivery

The hospital staff is very supportive of expectant women. They offer assistance when needed, and respond to all of their queries.

Being NHIF accredited, the facility offers free delivery services. For patients without NHIF, the Linda Mama cover comes in handy, covering the fee for both vaginal delivery and the caesarian section.

Learn more about Linda Mama benefits here: Linda Mama Benefits + Cover Limits Explained

If you do not hold a Linda Mama cover, don’t worry. You can apply for one at the facility.

All you need is your National Identification card and antenatal care records. The application only takes minutes, and you can enjoy high-quality maternity services for free.

However, NHIF and Linda Mama do not cover the following:

  • Any specialized care required by you or the baby
  • Ultrasound
  • Discharge fee (ksh 2,200)

For these services, you are required to pay cash.

Postnatal Care

After the baby is born, the mother needs to follow through with care to ensure the baby grows healthy. Immunization and pediatric care are vital for the baby’s growth.

During the scheduled visits, the pediatrician conduct tests on the baby to detect any problems that may arise later in life.

This is also a time for the mother to mention any abnormalities or concerns she has with the baby’s routines.

All Health Insurance covers are accepted here.

Kenol Hospital is fully accredited by:

  • NHIF
  • Kenya Medical and Practitioners and Dentists Board
  • National Environment Management Authority (NEMA)
  • Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
