Kayole Hospital Maternity Charges

Kayole Hospital is a registered and incorporated private healthcare facility founded over 26 years ago.

The hospital features 56 dedicated nurses and support staff, six expert doctors, and 24 emergency and care vans.

The facility has a capacity of 40 beds. The hospital operates 24/7, tending to patients seeking normal treatment as well as emergency cases.

It is a level 4 healthcare facility, upgraded from a level 3 facility in 2022, meaning that in cases of emergencies and further treatment procedures, patients can be issued referral letters to seek treatment in other facilities.

Upon its upgrade, the facility opened a new theatre for caesarian section procedures.

Services at the hospital cater to patients for all three social classes, providing affordable yet high-quality services.

Given its location, the facility has partnered with Joshua Orbit International’s The Orbit Village Project which aims at providing families with basic food and shelter, as well as ensuring they receive quality medical services.

According to the Nairobi Metropolitan Services, the facility caters to an average of 500 patients per day, with over 500 deliveries every month. This requires dedication, experience, collaboration, and great care from the highly qualified medical staff.

The facility offers specialized care to patients, extending courtesy and consideration for all their needs. They uphold respect with regards to the patient’s privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

Kayole hospital facilities include:

  • Maternity unit
  • Physiotherapy unit
  • Dental unit
  • Pharmacy
  • X-ray unit
  • Well baby clinic
  • Sonography unit
  • Surgical facility
  • Lab section
  •  VCT unit

These facilities cater to both in-patient and out-patient services.

What Are The Maternity Services Like At Kayole Hospital?

The hospital believes that early access to quality maternity services improves the health of both the mother and unborn child.

Therefore, they begin the journey with the expectant mothers from the early stages of pregnancy to ensure safe delivery.

The maternity and antenatal programs at the facility work to save both the mother’s and child’s life by promoting key maternal and antenatal health and nutritional practices.

The nurses at the maternity wing are skilled and trained to offer individualized care to the mother by putting into consideration the current health, daily habits and lifestyle, medical history, cultural and religious beliefs and customs, and any other unique circumstances that might affect the delivery procedure.

Upon delivery, the child is kept under observation to ensure the breathing and heartbeat are normal.

New mothers are also trained on how to hold the baby, breastfeed, and monitor the baby’s health at home.

They are also educated on the importance of breastfeeding during the antenatal period to facilitate bonding between the mother and child.

Maternity Charges

Compared to other private level 4 facilities in the region, the maternity charges at Kayole Hospital are quite pocket friendly, especially favoring those with insurance and up-to-date NHIF cards.
