Who Are Brad Williams Parents? The Giant Parents to the Little Funny Guy

Brad William is a household name in the standup comedy industry. He has made a name for himself by joking about his height.

Brad got his start when he attended the Carlos Mencia show. During the show, Carlos made a couple of jokes about dwarves. Unfortunately, all the folks around him were afraid of laughing.

Therefore, Carlos invited Brad to the stage and he cracked some impressive jokes. Mencia was impressed so he made him his opening act. Brad was the opening act for all the shows on the Punisher Tour and the Mind of Mencia.

Currently, he is lead comedian of the Mad Apple show.

Williams’ ever-growing popularity has seen him star in several television shows and films.

Brad’s contribution to the industry has forced us to learn more about his personal life, particularly his parents.

Who Are Brad Williams’ Parents?

Despite his popularity, Brad’s parents have managed to keep their personal life private. In fact, most tabloids have listed his parent’s names as unknown.

But if you have watched some of Brad’s standup shows, then you know how much he loves his parents, particularly his dad.

Brad was born with a form of dwarfism that’s known as Achondroplasma. This condition contributed to his height which his father knew would be an issue for him while growing up.

So, instead of discouraging him, he prepared him for the jokes and bullying that he may endure in school.

Brad loves his father and even wished him a happy 75th birthday via Twitter.

Brad tweeted “happy 75th birthday Poppa Pete Williams”and called him his hero. He said that his dad beat knee and hip replacement, cancer, and having him as a son.

Unfortunately, little is known about his mother, and as aforementioned there is no mention of her name anywhere online.

How Pete Helped Brad Become the Comedian He Is Today

Brad always jokes that his dad isn’t a dwarf, but he did help him get comfortable with short people jokes.

There is no manual to parenting especially when dealing with a kid with disabilities. Instead of being protective like most parents with kids with disabilities, he prepared him for the world.

Pete started making fun of Brad from when he was 3 years old. Basically, he would make fun of Brad, but in a supportive way in front of the other family members. After making fun of him, he would ask Brad to hit him with a comeback.

This prepared him for school and when he was in kindergarten kids would mock him and he would hit them with a comeback leaving them speechless. Pete turned him into a roast master from day one and made it possible for him to bully the bullies.

His dad also showed him how to make people comfortable around him. He showed him how to start a conversation with a short people joke. This showed people that Brad is comfortable and can take a joke.

Brad uses this technique to date, even in his interviews he would joke about his size and make them interesting.

Brad has talked about his dad’s parenting style in several podcasts and he believes that every parent with kids with disabilities should empower their kids. Brad believes in empowering our kids and not being too protective.

Are His Parents Still Alive?

Brad’s mum is alive, unfortunately his father died on May 8th 2022. His dad was an attorney who died at age 77.

Pete spent his last days on earth with his wife, children, Brad’s wife and his granddaughter.

Brad tweeted that his dad’s last words were to his daughter and he said “I love her.”
