Dennis Rader, aka BTK killer, was a serial murderer believed to have slain tens of people in Kansas from 1974 to 1991.
While many people, especially those from Kansas, know a lot about BTK and his heinous acts, most don’t know about his ex-wife, Paula Dietz.
She filed for divorce as soon as his ex-husband was arrested in 2005.
Little has been known about her since then. Everyone would be interested to discover the whereabouts of Paula Dietz and how she is coping with life eighteen years after BTK’s arrest.
Dietz Is Working in the Medical Industry
When she met and dated BTK, Paula was a bookkeeper.
She is a prestigious National American University in Wichita alumna, and although she hasn’t practiced accounting in her life, she holds a degree in accounting.
However, Dietz quit her job when her ex-husband was convicted of murder.
It was unbearable for Paula to continue working. The events of her husband’s arrest traumatized her, and she couldn’t continue working.
Paula quit her career and left Kansas for an undesignated destination.
Several years later, BTK’s ex-wife is working in the medical industry.
She is a medical device manufacturer at LSI Solutions in Rochester, New York. It remains unclear whether Paula works there full-time or part-time.
Coping With Her Ex-husband’s Crimes
Paul Dietz hasn’t written any book or made any public pronouncements ever since BTK was arrested and jailed for murder.
She also lives a private life and rarely posts photos or comments on Instagram and other social media accounts. She is pretty discrete with her life.
Kerri Rawson, Paula’s daughter, notes in her 2019 memoir –A Serial Killer’s Daughter: My Story of Faith, Love, and Overcoming– that her father’s arrest left her mother devastated.
Rawson says her mother has been coping with the crimes of her ex-husband since his arrest.
Her nasty experience with her ex-husband has been affecting her ever since she filed for an emergency divorce in 2005.
Consequently, Paula is now focusing on healing from her past experiences with her ex-husband.

Her daughter also said in an interview that her mother has PSTD from the terrible events around her ex-husband’s arrest.
Paula may be going for therapy to heal her past wounds.
Like her daughter, who says she doesn’t want anything to do with his convicted father, Paula has never visited BTK in jail but opted to keep the events of his arrest to herself.
Rawson says her mother is dealing with her ex-husband like he was dead.
Paula is struggling to find an emotional way of coping with BTK’s arrest, thrusting her into depression.
However, her health is okay because she is still working, although she focuses more on healing from the past than updating the public about her whereabouts.

BTK goes down in history as one of the deadliest killers in Kansas.
Her ex-wife says BTK lived a double life hence she couldn’t suspect her ex-husband was a serial killer for all those years.
Paula is still grappling with the aftermath of his ex-husband’s arrest.
