In conjunction with NHIF, the Linda Mama program aims at helping expectant mothers receive basic maternity services at no extra fee.
It covers antenatal care, delivery, and postnatal care up to a certain level. The cover is acceptable in all health facilities that are NHIF accredited/contracted.
To be eligible for the program, an expectant mother needs to be Kenyan and of age 18+ years.
She is required to apply for the Linda Mama card in advance at any NHIF branch or facility, or through the NHIF portal.
