Here’s What Happened to Dionne Warwick’s Teeth

Born on December 12, 1940, Marie Dionne Warwick is a celebrated American singer, actress, television host, and former Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.

During her prime career, Donnie was recognized as one of the top American hitmakers, with over 100 million records selling globally.

However, while she has earned her respect in the entertainment scene, most people are still curious about her dental health.

So, what happened to Dionne Warwick’s teeth?

Although there is no substantial information on what happened or if she went through any teeth correction procedure, I will try to solve the puzzle by revealing some facts about Warwick’s teeth.

Dionne Warwick’s Jawbone Disease

Going by her looks in her music videos, movies, and TV shows, Dionne Warwick has the prettiest smile that most actresses would dream of having.

Her melodious voice also captured many listeners and viewers, which led to a tremendous growth in fandom.

The multi-talented singer perfected her music career at the Hartt College of Music in West Hartford, Connecticut, which she attended after graduating from East Orange High School.

While most fans focus on her smile and voice, those who are keen can easily tell the difference between her smile before and after her fame.

Unknown to many, Dionne Warwick had a jawbone disease that led to an overbite condition.

There was an overlap between her upper and lower jaws, which affected her music career and overall confidence.

Although her overbite was less prominent, Dionne decided to undergo dental correction to fill the gap and realign her teeth.

According to her, the jawbone disease had caused bone loss along the gum line, leading to teeth misalignment and jaw pain.

Therefore, her doctor, Dr. Urist, extracted a bone from her hip and implanted it in her gums.

The operation, which took eight hours, fostered the regrowth of long jaw bones and gave Dionne a new “hippest” mouth.

The news about Dionne Warwick’s jawbone disease also took a new turn when she sued Globe International publication over a bone disease story.

According to Globe International, Warwick had a jawbone disease that was slowly destroying her beautiful face.

Warwick later sued the publication through her attorney, Ivan Hoffman, claiming that the article had made her a victim of many rumors, posing a challenge to her personality and career.

The Globe International, through their attorney, Paul Levy, wrote back claiming they had all the evidence to prove that the publication was true.

The lawsuit was filed seeking $15 million compensatory and $15 million punitive damage fees.

It involved Globe International, Tony Miles (executive publisher), Michael Gross (author), and 10 more unidentified people as defendants.

Dionne’s Claimed Multiple Plastic Surgeries

Various sources also claim that Dionne Warwick has had tons of cosmetic procedures that have helped her stay young.

Despite being in her early 80s, Warwick still looks 20 years younger, with no wrinkles or any sign of aging.

According to the sources, her unending beauty is aided by a list of surgeries, including necklift, facelift, Botox injections, browlift, facial fillers, cheek augmentation, and dermal fillers.

The surgeries seem to be well done, allowing her to stay younger with a prettier smile.

Dionne, however, does not agree with the claims, saying the secret to her beauty lies in her family’s genes and lifestyle.

In her interview with the Guardian, Dionne insisted that she has never had the desire for Botox injection or any cosmetic surgery.

She believes that she is the way God planned her to be, and she cannot improve on what God did.

She also said she never exercises or has any diet plan. She eats what she wants and smokes, although she plans on quitting.

The Bottom Line

Dionne Warwick has had quite an adventurous career, from being the first African-American solo female vocalist to receive a Grammy award to being inducted into four Halls of Fame.

Even in her old age, she is still regarded as one of the busiest women, with her tight schedule that involves international tours and television performances.

Like any other successful woman, Dionne Warwick has also had her share of war in her entertainment space, with many rumors surrounding her beauty.

However, while there are still unanswered questions about her teeth and jawbone disease, Dionne believes in her natural beautiful skin and has not released an official statement about her dental health.
