Where Is Deborah Norville Now? Here’s What the Inside Edition Anchor Has Been Up To Lately

Deborah Norville is a familiar face to viewers all over the world, having spent years in front of the camera.

She is a veteran journalist who has hosted a variety of shows since her career kicked off in 1979.

Deborah is also an anchor, crafter, lecturer, host, and businesswoman.

She has displayed intelligence, talent, and passion for her work throughout her career.

But Where Is She Now?

Career

After a long and illustrious career in journalism, Norville is still active in the field.

She is best known as the host of the popular television show “Inside Edition,” a role she has held since 1995.

Upon being granted the platform to host the show, its ratings increased by 15% that week, numbers that remain impressive to this day.

Her outstanding skills as a journalist have earned her two Emmy Awards.

Deborah uses the show to empower women through shared experiences and tips for success.

As a writer, Deborah publishes content on her website’s blog page. She is also involved in writing Inside Edition scripts.

Deborah owns the Deborah Norville Collection, a line of knitting and crocheting yarns.

Through her blog, Deborah showcases her passion for craft and design. She sells and markets her line of yarns through major stores and outlets across the US and her website.

Deborah also shares knitting tutorial videos for beginners on the website.

Working full-time on the TV show Inside Edition can be demanding, requiring Deborah to perform different tasks simultaneously.

However, she always seems to have enough time to spend with her family and work on her craft.

Personal Life

In addition to her busy professional life, Norville is also a devoted wife and mother.

She has been married to Karl Wellner since 1987, and together they have three children: Nicky, Kyle, and Mikaela.

She regularly posts photos of her husband and kids on Instagram. She often shares vacation and weekend getaways of her and her husband.

As a journalist, Deborah enjoys reading quite a lot.  In a recent post, she admitted that the library has always been her favorite place.

Philanthropy

Deborah was a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater New York Council of Girl Scouts for several decades.

The organization seeks to give girls the opportunity to dream, experience new things, and achieve great things in life.

She stepped down from the board a few years ago, but she remains an active Girl Scout, supporting young girls’ dreams and talents.

Deborah and her husband have worked as volunteers for The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NYSPCC).

The organization was founded in 1875 and aims at protecting children from being victims of domestic abuse.

They offer clinical, emotional, psychological, and physical help to said children and reunite them with their families when the time is right.

Deborah uses her show, Inside Edition, to tell stories of the success of the organization.

Her and her husband’s commitment to NYSPCC is evidenced by their three children pitching in as volunteers supporting the organization’s course.

Deborah is also an active member of the Alzheimer’s Association, which is the voice of patients living with Alzheimer’s.

The non-profit organization uses funds donated to expand Alzheimer’s research, offer quality care and support, and promote early detection in an effort to curb this life-deteriorating disease.

Deborah has also worked with other different organizations, such as March of Dimes. The organization’s research helps detect causes for premature births and the challenges children born before the end of the term are bound to experience.
