What Is Dr. Dre’s IQ? The Musical Genius’s IQ Will Surprise You

Many celebrities who have worked with Dr. Dre have confirmed that he is a musical genius with an exceptionally high IQ.

The 58-year-old producer helped popularize the gangster rap genre while revolutionizing the industry in the late 80s and early 90s.

He is also the one who popularized and crafted G-funk, a unique genre characterized by slow heavy production and a synthesizer foundation.

Dr. Dre has worked with some of the top musicians in the industry including Snoop Dogg who has an IQ of 147.

So, if he managed to produce the best out of the lyrical geniuses like Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent, how high is his IQ?

Dr. Dre’s IQ

A study conducted by Felicity Callard, a psychologist from London University, proved that musical training tends to increase a person’s IQ score.

Besides, Dr. Dre is smarter than most average musicians; after all, he has gotten the best out of genius musicians like Snoop Dogg.

So, like most musical geniuses, Dr. Dre is believed to have an IQ of between 150 and 155 which is clearly on a genius level.

50 Cent described him as a perfectionist who will make you do something over and over.

He is living proof that hard work pays and being a perfectionist, he never releases a song if it doesn’t sound perfect.

Andre has managed to remain popular and relevant for over 3 decades by producing hits that topped the charts between 1990 and 2006.

Dre started in the late 80s when the industry was dominated by stars like Run DMC and MC Hammer.

But unlike those stars, he is still popular, thanks to his talent as a producer and a musician.

He even made Eminem a star in a black controlled music genre, while introducing us to Tupac in the early 90s.

His work has stood the test-of time and like most polymaths, he has branched out to other industries.

He proved further that he’s a genius when he created Beats and then sold it to Apple for about $3 billion making him a billionaire.

Dr Dre may not be rapping but if you saw his production at the Super Bowl LVI, then you know why he is a genius.

The mogul had just survived a brain aneurysm and still gave us one of his best performances ever.

Dr. Dre Makes Stars

Dre has an eye for talent and he can turn an underground rapper into a superstar.

Thanks to his high IQ, he turned Eminem, a Detroit rapper, whom no one knew, into a mega star.

He also introduced 50 Cent to the world and made him a force to reckon with in the 2000s.

Dr. Dre is also responsible for other rappers including Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, Game, and Eve. These stars are some of the world’s all-time best artists who still dominate the charts to date.

As a musician, he has produced some of the classic albums that revolutionized hip-hop.

The Chronic went multiplatinum and introduced us to G-funk while winning him his first Grammy Award.

He has also produced over 140 albums with most of them going platinum.
