Penda Medical Centre Maternity Charges

Penda Medical Centre, otherwise known as Penda Health, was founded in 2012.

In over a decade, they have grown into 21 facilities across Nairobi County.

Penda only recruits licensed professionals with a genuine will to help patients.

All employees are offered additional training to help them adjust to Penda’s health and customer services.

They have invested in modern machines and digital health technology, making the entire service delivery system easy and smooth.

In doing so, they are climbing up the ladder to becoming a healthcare provider the community can trust.

At the facility, the client is always right. The staff takes time to listen to the clients as they express themselves, asking questions politely in order to understand their medical history and background.

Services offered at Penda Medical Centre are:

  • General consultation
  • Antenatal Care
  • Well-baby clinics
  • OBGYN services
  • NCD care and management
  • Ultrasound services
  • X-Ray services
  • Cancer screening
  • Vaccines
  • Dental consultation and services

Maternity Charges

Penda Health does not offer maternity services. However, they do have antenatal and well-baby clinics.

Antenatal Care provides the expectant mother with relevant medical care, timely information, and emotional support and advice.

During this period, the doctor talks to the patient about nutrition, physical activities, and educates her on the common complaints during pregnancy, and how to manage them.

The Penda Health doctors strive to inform the mother about drugs and chemicals found in food that might be lethal for the fetus or affect its development.

Through ultrasounds, they monitor the baby’s growth throughout the pregnancy to ensure that he/she is growing at the gestation rate at which the patient is anticipated to be.

Penda Health advises women to start their antenatal clinics as early as possible so the mother and doctor have enough time to discuss what she needs to do to make sure she is ready to conceive and carry a baby.

At the first visit, the doctor performs a physical examination and advises on the number of antenatal care clinics each individual patient is required to make based on the test’s findings.

The first ANC clinic is charged Ksh 1,500. Follow-up visits are charged Ksh 250-300 per session. Ultrasound is Ksh 1,500.

The well-baby clinic is another important program at the facility. This is when the baby receives all the necessary immunizations. The doctors also monitor the baby’s development and look out for any problems or complications and prevent them.
