Outpatient services are offered daily from 8 am to 5 pm, while inpatient services are offered 24/7.
Maternity Delivery Charges
During Pregnancy
Jacaranda Maternity recommends a patient to make 8 antenatal care visits to ensure the health of the mother and child. However, a minimum of 4 visits is enough.
During these visits, they take background medical checks to establish if there is any potential hereditary health issues that might affect the baby.
They also take ultrasound scans to check for any anomalies with the baby and the position of the placenta.
They also perform a random blood sugar test to detect diabetes.
The midwife helps prepare the mother-to-be for the arrival of the baby both physically and mentally and discuss the patient’s plan for labor and birth. They also offer birth preparedness classes.
The first antenatal clinic is charged Ksh 1,900. The fee covers one nurse consultation and initial lab tests.
Follow up clinics are charged Ksh 650 per visit.
During Delivery
While offering support to the patient, the hospital staff, namely midwives and nurses, display respect and courtesy.
They ensure the patient is as relaxed as possible and fully aware of her situation. This goes a great way in reducing physical pain and emotional turmoil.
To ensure the safety of the mother and child, all midwives and nurses are trained on how to assess a woman in labor and provide the necessary care.
They are also trained on how to properly monitor the newborn, and maintain a high standard of hygiene to prevent infections.
