DJ Bling Salary & Net Worth Revealed

One of the most popular career choices among the Kenyan youth is undoubtedly the deejay profession since it is usually associated with a party-like lifestyle.

Since it only takes a few months to gain this skill, the industry is currently overpopulated by the high number of youths venturing into the sector.

However, despite the high competition, Abel Maunda, popularly known as DJ Bling, has established himself as one of Kenya’s fastest-rising and most reputable disk jockeys.

Personal Background

The deejay was born on 13th November 1986 in Makueni county.

Unfortunately, most of his personal life and educational background are unknown since he has never revealed this information to the public.

Career and Salary

DJ Bling’s breakthrough was in 2019 when Mbusii and Lion left Ghetto Radio, leaving Bonoko alone in their show.

He became the co-host of the ‘Goteana Show,’ which aired every weekday from 3-7 Pm, alongside Bonoko.

He utilized his nationwide fame from the show to secure more gigs in local and international nightclubs.

It’s estimated that DJ Bling is paid Ksh.30, 000-50,000 per show for local gigs and up to Ksh.200, 000 for international events/jobs.

DJ Bling left Ghetto Radio in late 2021 and joined Royal Media.

He is a frequent guest deejay/host in some of the company’s radio stations, such as Hot96 (in the Dropzone program) and Radio Citizen (the Takeover Saturday show).

He also owns a deejay academy called ‘Bling it on Deejay and Music College’ in Donholm Greenfield, Nairobi county, where he trains aspiring deejays, music artists, producers, and photographers.

To enroll for deejay classes, you’ll have to pay not less than Ksh.25,000.

Net Worth

His exact net worth is not unknown, but it is estimated to be not less than Ksh.10 million.

Although his current salary at Royal media is approximately Ksh.200, 000, the deejay earns more as a freelance DJ in local clubs and occasional international gigs.

In 2021, Abel showed his fan on social media the progress of his bungalow in Makueni County, which was under construction.

He even thanked his bosses at Ghetto radio for providing him with the opportunity to work there since it truly transformed his life.

Marital Status

Although his private life and marital status are well-kept secrets, there are a few instances where Abel has posted his three kids, a 13-year-old son in Lenana high school, a 4-year-old daughter, and a young son barely three years old.

Therefore, it’s safe to conclude that DJ Bling is a family man.
