If you are a Hallmark Channel fan, you are probably aware of Andrew Walker’s works.
If Parade stats are anything to go by, the celebrity actor has starred in more than two dozen Hallmark and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries already.
He is, especially, famous for his roles in “The Perfect Catch”, “Bridal Wave”, “Bottled with Love”, “My Secret Valentine” and just recently “My Christmas Family Tree”.
With such success, Andrew Walker has become a household name in the entertainment industry.
Besides his acting career, his fans are interested in his personal life as well.
Actor but Not a Pianist
Andrew Walker is, no doubt, an exemplary actor. He owns every role and executes it to the very best of his ability.
He’s had one or two roles where he sings a duet with his co-star. However, the Perfect Catch star doesn’t play the piano.
In a past interview with TV Fanatic, the actor emphasized that although music has been a part of his family for a long time, he doesn’t play the piano.
Granted, he took lessons when he was young but he didn’t enjoy them.
Walker went on to say that he sang in a band when he was a teen and thus can carry a tune but playing the piano isn’t a skill he possesses.
Although Walker isn’t a pianist, his mother is. The actor claims that she has been playing the piano for ages and has gotten quite good at it.
When he was a young boy, the whole family would throw singing performances around their neighborhood for charity or just for fun.
Besides his mother, Walker claims that many members of his family are into music.
- His aunt is a retired school music teacher with a great voice.
- His uncle is an incredible vocalist and trumpet player.
- His two cousins are opera singers.
When the family would meet up for Easter or Christmas Holidays, singing was inevitable. The instrument players would play while the vocalists would sing.
The Legacy Lives On
Andrew Walker might not have taken after his mother with regard to playing the piano, but there’s hope for his boy.
Coming from a musical family, the actor has already enrolled his son in piano lessons.
Together with his wife, Walker is committed to exposing his kids to music at a young age.
He made a pact with his wife and son that if the boy enjoyed his piano lessons, he would enroll in the same too.
By the time the Hallmark celebrity was speaking to TV Fanatic, his son had just started piano lessons.
We sure hope he’s in piano school learning the skill!
