Njoroge wa Githinji is currently the co-host of Inooro TV’s breakfast show, Inooro Miaraho, which airs every weekday from 6 am to 10 am, alongside the hilarious Ngogoyo (Kamau wa Kang’the).
Their morning show involves:
- Analyzing the day’s various newspaper headlines.
- Hosting the country’s politicians as special guests.
- Discussing health matters.
- Featuring local choirs to showcase their musical talents.
The duo is among the country’s most famous morning presenters since their program attracts a large audience who are always tuned in to their show.
The presenter attended Komothai Boys High School from 1994-1997.
Although he did not qualify to join any of the country’s public universities after completing his KCSE exams, he joined Nairobi College in 1999, and in 2001 he graduated with a Diploma in Public Relations.
After being fired from K24, he joined Kenya Methodist University in 2013 to pursue a degree in Journalism.
He later decided to further his studies by enrolling in Aga Khan’s school of Media and Communications to study journalism from 2019 to 2021.
The media personality acknowledged that his career in the media fraternity is full of twists and turns.
For instance, despite having a minimum educational background in the media sector, he secured a job at Mediamaxx’s affiliate TV station (K24) in 2012, where he only worked for eight eighths before he was fired.
Unfortunately, his contract’s termination at K24 took place when his wife was four months pregnant.
Without a reliable source of income to support his family, he felt depressed, but his life’s circumstances forced him to be resilient.
His wife convinced him to resume his journalism studies, and that’s when he joined Kenya Methodist University in 2013.
However, he also worked in a quarry to sustain his family since he didn’t have a reliable source of income and his wife was pregnant.
Fortunately, he secured a job at Ebru Tv a few weeks after his wife gave birth.
He was the co-host of the TV sports program hosted by Joshua Makori.
However, this contract ended in December of the same year, leaving him jobless again.
But as the adage states, when one door is closed, another one opens!
One of his friends told him there was a vacancy on Inooro TV and that he should try his luck.
Although he initially applied as a sports presenter due to his previous experience in Ebru Tv, he was hired as the host of Inooro TV’s breakfast show, where he currently works alongside his co-host Ngogoyo.
Njoroge wa Githinji Wife & Children
Although the 42 years old TV presenter has managed to keep his personal life private, it is evident that he is married.
Unlike other media personalities who post their families on social media, Njoroge wa Githinji has refrained from this act.
All his social media accounts are filled with posts/pictures of him in his work environment or with his colleagues.
However, we can safely say that he has a nine-year-old daughter named Shiku, according to his Facebook posts where he posts random quotes and pictures referring to what his young daughter did in school or at home.
Income and Net Worth
By now, you already know that Njoroge is one of the most private media personalities in Kenya, which means that he has never made his income or overall net worth public.
However, according to reliable sources, the presenter currently earns a monthly gross salary of Ksh.700, 000.
He also has additional sources of income, such as advertising Fortune Sacco.
He is believed to have pocketed a cool Ksh.80, 000 by marketing the Sacco on his social media pages.
He has been spotted several times driving a Toyota Mark X vehicle and is believed to own a house in one of the leafy suburb estates along Thika road.
Hence we can safely conclude that his net worth is more than 15 million shillings.
Below is an estimate of his net monthly salary at Inooro TV, considering his gross pay is approximately Ksh.700, 000.
